What a fun week of travelling and performing! Charlotte and I spent a wonderful few days together taking our recital programme to audiences in Bolton and New Radnor, Wales. We even managed to fit in a visit to the awe-inspiring world heritage site of Pontcysyllte Aqueduct although the fierce winds of Storm Eric did manage to destroy three of our umbrellas and ruin a good pair of winter boots.
And no visit to Bolton would be complete without a nod to the great television personality, steeplejack and steam engine master, Fred Dibnah.
The joy of performing in such beautiful surroundings, bringing our music to all corners of the country (no matter how sparsely populated) and it being welcomed, appreciated and enjoyed by audiences of all ages and faiths never fails to disappoint and is a continuous source of inspiration to us.
