Wales in March

A lovely weekend at the start of March performing in the quiet and idyllic village of New Radnor, Wales. We gave a concert here a few years ago so we were delighted to be invited back and play for their music society again.

Such a warm and appreciative audience, we enjoyed playing for everyone so much. And a big thank you to the organizers for their kind hospitality their delicious chocolate cake that we feasted on post-concert.

Our programme featured the old and new. Exciting fireworks by Sarasate and Manuel De Falla, profound masterpieces such as Bach’s Chaconne in D minor, the well-loved treasures of Schubert’s Standchen and Mendelssohn’s Rondo Capriccioso as well as the lesser-known contemporary music of Bacewicz, Dohnanyi, Ibert and Ian Venables.
